Alan Wiebe

Alan Wiebe is a Canadian writer from Steinbach, Manitoba and author of Saxophone Blues, the “television show” for books. This comedic fiction series, starring Jimothy Dyck – a somewhat misguided dreamer determined to make it big despite his lack of talent – engages audiences in a uniquely episodic experience. Alan’s distinct narrative rhythm, sharp wit, and absurdist humour are informed by his academic studies at the University of Winnipeg and Menno Simmons College. His strategic wordcraft innovates convention at the nexus of creative writing and professional communications.  Alan loves writing about social, digital, and environmental landscapes for public relations and issues advocacy. He has written for nonprofits, public health organizations, and community leaders, transforming local initiatives into grassroots movement. Alan is most at home in the writer’s room – where he loves writing jokes that bring people and ideas together to leave a meaningful and lasting mark on this generation.
