Sean Knight, from the show Reviews with Sean, gives Jimothy Dyck really good advice on how to start a band.
Jimothy Dyck—a somewhat misguided dreamer determined to make it big despite his lack of talent—sent a fan letter to his favourite show, Reviews with Sean.
Jimothy asks Sean for advice on how to start a band:
"Dear Sean,
My name is Jimothy Dyck and I am in grade 10. I love your TV show Reviews with Sean. I have a fan question. I want to start a band but I don’t know how. What am I supposed to even do?
P.S. I play lead guitar
Do you want to hear my demo?”
Sean has this sound advice, inspired by Emma the drummer:
“Go to a bunch of local shows and get involved in the music scene in your community and surrounding areas,” said Sean. “And then perhaps out of that you will meet people that want to do music like you want to do music.”
